PureEnergy (the company formerly known as WildCharge) has been working on wireless charging for awhile. Up until now, the formula’s been the same (and is one we’ve even seen mimicked by other companies, such as PowerMat): you plug a single wireless charging pad into an outlet, and then plop your gadgets on top, forgoing whatever AC adapters they came with.

For the last several weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of using a WildCharge wire-free case with my iPhone, and since becoming spoiled with never needing to plug my iPhone in to charge, all I can say is, corded chargers are so old-school!

The thought of wire-free charging of my gadgets gets me all giddy. I hate having to fight to get the power cables from behind my desk each time I want to charge my netbook. I think my local sock gnome likes to toss the cable back there just as an added insult. If I could just walk up and sit my netbook down to charge it would rock. WildCharge lets me do that with my iPhone and the company will offer the same wire-free charging for 100,000 products in the first half of this year.
