WildCharge Technology Integrated Into More Than 100,000 Units in First Half of 2009; Company Expects Additional Growth to Exceed 400 percent for Remainder of Year
With a Laser Focus on the Licensing of its Wire-Free Technology and the Distribution of its Product Reference Designs, WildCharge Licensees and Partners are on Track to Sell over 500,000 Units by End of 2009
(Boulder, Colo. – Sept. 22, 2009) – WildCharge Inc., the leader in wire-free power technology, announced today that it surpassed a significant internal milestone by selling, in conjunction with its partners and licensees, over 100,000 WildCharge wire-free power products through the first half of 2009. The company, its partners and licensees are on track to exceed 500,000 units by the end of the year. WildCharge credits the growth to providing reliable products that are simple to use while still meeting or exceeding all regulatory and safety requirements, and to partnering with companies that are able to capitalize on the speed to market offered by WildCharge’s licensing and product reference design programs. Many of these companies are also taking advantage of WildCharge’s licensing flexibility to create their own unique product designs featuring the patented wire-free power technology.
“The rapid adoption of WildCharge’s technology through licensing and distribution agreements, while at the same time ensuring overall consumer delight, is extremely important as we continue to supply the best wire-free power experience available,” said Dennis Grant, CEO and chairman of WildCharge. “While other companies have been talking about providing wire-free solutions, we’ve been delivering in the marketplace, designing and selling products that help people eliminate the clutter of wires from their homes and offices with our energy efficient, patented technology and products.” Read more

The thought of wire-free charging of my gadgets gets me all giddy. I hate having to fight to get the power cables from behind my desk each time I want to charge my netbook. I think my local sock gnome likes to toss the cable back there just as an added insult. If I could just walk up and sit my netbook down to charge it would rock. WildCharge lets me do that with my iPhone and the company will offer the same wire-free charging for 100,000 products in the first half of this year.

WildCharge has released an iPhone adapter for it’s wireless charging system. In case you didn’t see our review from the WildCharge launch, here how it works… The system requires two things, a special WildCharge Pad and an adapter for your particular device. Most of the adapters are universal and will allow you connect almost any device. To charge your phone, PDA, and etc you simply place it on the pad. It is almost like magic! This easy system is great for people who hate plugging and unplugging devices. If you get a phone call, simply pick up your cell phone instead of unplugging it.
